Is it just me, or are all the goals scored in the NHL Playoffs come from the same general area?

Dear Competition Committee...

To the humble staff of the NHL Competition Committee: Please consider the following rule changes to the game, which will bring excitement back to the game of hockey, and will quash any post-trade deadline rumours of match-fixing in three-pointer, shootout finishes.

1) Three points for regulation win, two points for overtime win, one point for overtime loss, no points for regulation loss. This may irk Montreal Canadiens fans, whose side of the late 70's holds team records for most wins, points, and highest winning percentage in a season. However, please consider if Boston, the Islanders or Toronto had three expansion teams and a team in decline in their division, then they would win four Cups in a row as well.

2) Introduce the "own goal" statistic to the NHL. I have less difficulty explaining why the league credits Lanny McDonald with Steve Smith's winner in '86 than I do explaining who gets credit for this little number.

3) Fire your NHL marketing staff. Stipulating the home team will wear the dark uniform, and the away team white uniforms will not get more fans through the door or sell more jerseys. Change them back, and give pink slips to the marketing staff as you show them out the door. In westerns, the hero wears the white hat; get my drift?
